WCQ: Spain desperate for win
Spain has to beat Belgium on Saturday to keep a realistic chance of qualifying automatically for an eighth straight World Cup. Fortunately, it’s up against an opponent with little to play for but pride. Spain is second in the Group 7 standings with two points fewer than Serbia-Montenegro. While third-place Bosnia-Herzegovina still has a chance of advancing, Belgium is fourth and with only the slimmest mathematical chance of reaching its seventh straight finals.
