Russia 0-3 Spain
Spain produced a wonderful second-half display to defeat Russia 3-0 and earn a place in the final of Euro 2008. After a goalless first half, Spain struck through Xavi, Danny Guiza and David Silva to overwhelm a Russian side who struggled to compete with the fluid movement and slick passing of Luis Aragones' side.

Villa to miss Euro 2008 final
Spain's David Villa will miss Sunday's Euro 2008 final against Germany after picking up a thigh injury in the semi-final win over Russia. The 26-year-old striker came off after 34 minutes of Spain's 3-0 victory after injuring himself taking a free-kick.

Spain, Germany trying to overcome important losses
Sunday's European Championship final between Spain and Germany could be decided by which team copes best with an injured star player. Spain already knew it would be without David Villa at Ernst Happel Stadium after the tournament's leading scorer ruptured a right leg muscle in the semifinals, but now it looks like Germany captain Michael Ballack could also be on the sidelines because of a calf strain.

Donadoni fired by Italy
Roberto Donadoni has been fired as coach of Italy following their quarter-final exit defeat to Spain at Euro 2008. Donadoni has been in charge for just under two years, succeeding Marcello Lippi as national team boss in the wake of Italy's 2006 World Cup triumph.
