Stephen Pearson's first goal for Derby gave the Rams a 1-0 playoff victory Monday over West Bromwich Albion and promotion to England's Premier League. Pearson scored in the 61st minute for Derby to join Sunderland and Birmingham in moving up from the League Championship. Charlton, Sheffield United and Watford were relegated.
