Viduka to seal Newcastle deal

Viduka completes Newcastle move
Newcastle have completed the signing of Mark Viduka on a two-year contract with the option of a third year. The 31-year-old turned down a new contract offered by Middlesbrough in favour a move to St James Park.

Klose opts for Bayern
Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose has ended speculation about his future plans by announcing he will join Bayern Munich. Werder announced last month they were reluctant to sell Klose to another German club, but the prolific striker says he will see out his contract with his current club before moving to Bayern on a free transfer in 12 months time.

The Fire (4-4-2) will receive their championship rings for their fourth Open Cup crown -- the most for any MLS club -- before Saturday's contest, the last of three straight home matches.
