Ayala retires from international game
Hassan scores as Africa, World draw 3-3
Egypt's Hossan Hassan scored a goal in each half and an African select of side drew 3-3 with a World XI Wednesday, a friendly match of mostly retired luminaries played in honor of former South African president Nelson Mandela's 89th birthday.
Hassan's second goal in the 50th minute gave the Africans a 3-2 lead but former Spain and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Julen Guerrero hammered home a rebound in the 72nd minute.
