Spanish referees threaten strike

Arsenal beats Juventus 2-0, Barcelona held to 0-0 draw by Benfica in Champions League (AP)
Arsenal overcame the emotional return of former captain Patrick Vieira and beat Juventus 2-0 Tuesday in the first leg of the European Champions League quarterfinals. Cesc Fabregas scored off a pass from Thierry Henry in the 40th minute at Highbury in London, and Henry gave the Gunners a two-goal lead when he connected on an off-balance shot in the 69th.

Raul confident of recapturing form

CTL: Caracas defeats Cienciano 4-0
Jorge Rojas scored two second-half goals and Caracas handily defeated Cienciano 4-0 on Tuesday to keep alive its hopes of advancing from Group 1 of the Copa Libertadores. The victory moved the Venezuelan side past Cienciano into third place in the group with four points and dropped Peru's Cienciano to last with three points. Mexico's Chivas leads the group with seven points, one ahead of Sao Paulo of Brazil. Both have played three games each.
