Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard scored his seventh goal in Champions League qualifying to help defending champion Liverpool advance Tuesday to the third round of European soccer's premier club competition. The Reds won 2-0 over FBK Kaunas and advanced on a 5-1 aggregate. Former champion Celtic was eliminated, however, losing 5-4 on aggregate to Artmedia Bratislava despite a 4-0 win.
Ronaldo's return offers new options for Brazil attack
Ronaldo might have to fight off rising stars Adriano and Robinho to prove he still deserves a run-on start for world champion Brazil.
