Real Madrid striker Michael Owen is set for a return to Liverpool, according to reports.

Although Liverpool boss boss Rafael Benitez has denied he is interested in buying a striker, reports indicate that Milan Baros and Djibril Cisse could soon be on their way out of Anfield.

Youri Djorkaeff's shot deflected off a defender and into the goal in the 66th minute to give the MetroStars a 2-1 win over the Columbus Crew in a game delayed for more than an hour by severe weather on Sunday night. Columbus had a chance to tie the game in stoppage time, but Metrostars goalie Tony Meola made his fourth and final save of the night on a tough shot by Cornell Glen.
